Riverside Watershed Environmental Living Lab for Sustainability
(RWELLS)

Riverside is a small community in Indiana, nearby the Indiana University– Purdue University of Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus. It is bordered by three water sources. In 2010, the Riverside Civic League leaders and the IUPUI initiated the Riverside Watershed Environmental Living Lab for Sustainability (RWELLS). The purpose of WELLS was to evaluate the existing water, waste, and energy issues and establish a pathway for developing sustainable concepts for a future model neighborhood.

Establishing a Pathway for Achieving Water Utility Infrastructure Management Excellence

BAMI-I carried out the research sponsored by the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) under EPA Grant-CP 83 282901-1.

The project identified the need for knowledge, training and education about asset management practices in the water industry. BAMI-I created the Asset Management Training Certification Program (CTAM). Through CTAM the project  established a new path for stakeholders in the water industry interested in achieving water utility infrastructure management excellence.
